playing
at the end of a movie.

A handful of piano notes,
a maternal voice singing in a tongue
you never came to know yet
understand fully.

It speaks of an eternal
beauty
in the temporary.

A sound like a cherry blossom
ascending downward
to become the watercolour ground
from which a new tree will sprout.
